Showcasing Industrial Environmental Municipal Works
Industrial Environmental is excited to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the 2025 National Municipal Works & Engineering Conference, taking place at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds in Bendigo.
We are proud to also be featured in a local government case study highlighting our collaborative efforts with the City of Moonee Valley. This event brings together municipal leaders, engineers and municipal works professionals to exchange innovative ideas and best practices. The 2025 conference is focusing on innovative collaborations aimed at addressing challenges faced by many municipalities.
We are honoured our remediation project in Flemington, developed alongside the City of Moonee Valley, will be presented by Adrian Chau, Project Manager at the City of Moonee Valley. Join us on Friday, March 21, from 10:15 to 10:45 AM, as Adrian delivers a compelling presentation titled Revitalising an Old Service Station into a Community-Based Pocket Park.
“This project is part of the council’s Open Space Strategy which focuses on creating more open space for residents. The new pocket park makes great use of previously underutilised land and returns it to the community. It’s a great case study for other inner city councils”
“Industrial Environmental worked within the site’s constraints – a small corner site located on two busy roads, near tramlines. houses and schools – comfortably and efficiently.”
Matt Smillie, General Manager, Industrial Environmental explains “The small 371 sqm footprint of this site, combined with all the infrastructure running along the edge of the site required us to approach this project differently to regular projects, and we’re really pleased with the outcome for the community,”
“Adrian and the City of Moonee Valley team took a really collaborative approach to this project which resulted in a seamless effort between council, environmental consultants, Industrial Environmental and the landscapers.”
Read more about how we approached this project from a soil remediation technical perspective in our project case study – Metamorphosis: from petrol station to pocket park.
You can find the Industrial Environmental team at booth E29, located at the opposite end of the hall to the Conference Room (and rather conveniently near a catering station). We’re looking forward to hearing about more actionable insights, success stories in addition to connecting with our industry peers (you) at the event.
